There are many pictographs and the scenery is beautiful. I won't make an attempt to label any of these except the one museum photo, as it would just be a guess at best. Many of the people in the canyon live just as their ancestors did many years ago. In the Spring, it is wet. The group was required to ride in 4-wheel drive vehicles and follow the leader to avoid quicksand.
The pictures don't give a good representation of the magnitude of the canyon or the height of the walls. From the top, it is difficult to identify animals because they are so small. The walls are nearly straight up and down in most places. It is an amazing place.
